I LOVE TO CAPTURE THE WORLD AROUND ME

Welcome!  I am Kelsey Sweeney, an artist, creative designer and photographer.  I created this site to share some of my passions and I hope that you get as much enjoyment as I do when seeing some of the things I see and getting to capture them.

I love photography, art, design and generally just being creative.  Like many people, I’ve always felt I have this creative side that is just waiting to surface.  Originally from Massachusetts, I have found that exploring the world, sharing my ideas, my vision, watching people’s excitement as they view my work, is truly gratifying.

I have been fortunate to visit many different continents, countries and cities while pursuing my creative passions.  I have studied art under some very talented artists and mentors in a variety of different mediums and designed several pieces of commercial work including logos, print art and digital imagery.  As a photographer though, the camera always seems to have this magnetic quality, leading to many different conversations about culture, language, geography and communication.  Sharing captured images and the story told within the viewfinder often leads me to conversations about our similarities and interesting tales of exploration as opposed to differences and divides within cultures and countries.  Perhaps we could all see far more good in this world if we viewed it through a lens.

While at school, I began a small business as a commercial photographer working with clients doing individual and family portraits.  My creative works have brought me endless joy.  Above all, though, I love being out in the field.  I can’t imagine a better way to spend time than enjoying the splendor of our natural world, the grandeur of our man-made cityscapes and the beauty found in sharing my love of art, photography and design.
